Michelle had a vision, a vision of Christmas mittens. I helped her vision become a reality.
I used a pattern from here. Now, you may notice that my mittens are not as "simple" as their mittens. I altered the pattern a little to get the hat effect and candy cane thumb. I also added a pom-pon to the top and an extra layer of white knit to the back to create a rim for the hat.

22-24: More Puppets
Continuing my new thing, I made some more finger puppets. The elephant, bird, and monkey. I didn't use a pattern, I kinda just followed the same idea as before and added when I thought I should. They might now be great (I don't like the elephant's trunk), but they are cute!

19-21: Finger Puppets
I don't have pictures of them all, but here is one of the three finger puppets I've made. The first two I made were a tan mouse and a black cat. I made them a while ago and I used a pattern from this place. The giraffe above, I made up based on what I learned from the previous link and what giraffes look like. I will add the pattern later.

18: Felted Heart
I knitted up this cute little Halloween heart in about 1.5 hours. That includes the knitting, felting, stitching, and stuffing. The only wool yarn I have is black and green. So I decided to make a little black one with orange eyes for Halloween. Really though, I have absolutely nothing to do with it.

17: Baby Shrug
I knit this hat to match the beret I made for Nicole a few weeks prior. There was so much yarn left over from the tiny beret, that I made her my first piece of clothing! I was surprised as to how easy it was and to how fast it finished. Now my niece can look extra cute in things I've made for her. :)

15: Baby Beret
While in New Jersey this summer, Jayme saw a cute hat for Nicole. I told her not to buy it because I could make it. So, I did. I used this pattern. Nicole wouldn't stay still long enough for a better picture. Plus I only had my phone with.

14: Cat Hat
This was fun to make. I used the Official Kitty62 hat pattern with some purple and gray/silver yarn. When I made this hat, Shannon told me that I had to wear it to K-State games. So, this last game it was cold and I wore it. I must say I felt a bit silly. A 25 year old wearing a bright purple hat that has cat ears on it. But hey, it's for fun.

Lucky Number 13
I saw a diagonally knit piece once. So, I decided I'd attempt to recreate that piece with some left over yarn.
I used US Size 6 needles and cast-on 24 stitches.
For row 1, K4, P4 until the end of the row.
For the 2nd row, I did the reverse of what I did on the front (So K4, P4).
For row 3, I shifted the pattern, I started with K3. Then P4, K4 until I was down to the last stitch, K1.
The 4th row reversed that (So start with P1, K4, P4.... P3).
I continued this until the yarn ran out!

12: Snotvia Bag
This was supposed to have a row of small skull and crossbones under the larger one. But instead of that, I wrote "Snotvia." I got the pattern from Jezebel at talklikeapirate.com. Here is a direct link to the pattern. It took me a while to make, but it was worth it. It was my first felted project too.
I now use the bag to carry around the current knitting project and supplies. I like it. And I like it more because is says "Snotvia!"

ee-levin
So, walking to school is cold right, and I have hats and scarves and gloves and coats, but nothing extra for my legs. Well, not true. Not true.
I've started to collect me some leg warmers. Maria got me the first ones. Then mom got me some black ones. But I made me some striped ones. Um, I started them a while a go, and worked on them and my beaded scarf in alternating parts. PS... one leg is thinner than the other. Whoops.

Ten
Mom bought me the supplies for this scarf at a local store called Wildflower Yarns and Knitwear. I had a really difficult time starting it. I had to thread on a couple hundred beads then use a long-tail cast on method. I had no idea of what this was. When I finally figured it out, I managed to make sense of the rest of the directions and finish the scarf. It took me a good long time.

Numéro Quatre
After over a year of not knitting or crocheting, I decided it was about time to pick up the knittles again. I created a short and stubby Halloween scarf. It was my first attempt at joining yarns. It wasn't a very good one. Having no right-wrong side to the scarf makes it look sloppy. Although it is festive.

Ichi Ban
The first thing I've ever knit was this lovely hat. What started out as an extra wide scarf, became a unique hat. I dropped a lot of stitches, and tried some purling, and ended with hat that has 3 long braids coming from the top. It actually works out really well because I can put my pony tail through the top when my hair is up.
